What is Contractubex?
Compazine is fairly safe. Most likely an overdose will only cause drowsiness and some side effects such as uncontrolled movements of the lips, eyes, head, and neck for a short time. Went to the ER for a migraine. Was given Compazine in an IV. Doctor told me it usually only happens in the elderly. It took days for the symptoms to go away after I stopped taking the medication.
The nurse said that is would take my headache away and also ease my sickle cell pain. The nurse left to notify the doctor and she administered morphine, my normal treatment for sickle cell, and I immediately went to sleep. This was a horrible feeling. She was extremely cold, confused, kept saying "let me go" as in 'die'and kept trying to get out of bed to go outside. I will be sure that have the doctors put in her file to NOT give her this ever again.
This experience has been a nightmare. I sat down, then I had to stand up and walk around, then I had to sit down again. They gave me a second injection of imitrix, which is according to the label.
I had no problem with the imitrix and I have used it successfully since then with the package for patients that comes with a self-injector. A couple years later, when I had to go to the ER again for severe vomiting due to a migraine, I told them NOT to give me compazine.
How should I take Contractubex?
The nurse rushed in with a benadryl shot, which took almost 15 agonizing minutes to work, and the "twitchy" compazine effects didn't wear off until 11am the next morning.
I looked up compazine online and the drug information site says not to give it to pregnant women unless absolutely necessary. Has anyone else taken Compazine. Has anyone else had a drug reaction like that. Was the baby okay. It is sometimes used, though it's not what I'd refer to use "first choice" drugs when it comes to treating HG. Personally, I'm on the fence about picking it to treat HG.
What should I avoid while taking Contractubex?
Do not take this medicine within 2 hours of taking antacids or medicine for diarrhea. Taking these products too close together may make this medicine less effective. This medicine will add to the effects of alcohol and other central nervous system CNS depressants medicines that slow down the nervous system, possibly causing drowsiness. Check with your doctor before taking any of the above while you are using this medicine.
Before using any prescription or over-the-counter OTC medicine for colds or allergies, check with your doctor. These medicines may increase the chance of developing heatstroke or other unwanted effects, such as dizziness, dry mouth, blurred vision, and constipation, while you are taking a phenothiazine. Before you have any medical tests, tell the medical doctor in charge that you are taking this medicine.
Contractubex side effects
Withdrawing the drug will have to be similar, reducing over a period of time. Patients may have to take several doses per day, depending on their condition. You should also disclose a family medical history and drug use, recreational and prescription. This way your doctor will know what risks you face and how to treat your current condition best.
Compazine is generally not prescribed in cases involving dementia, and it is not recommended for long-term use. Prolonged use can cause movement disorders that cannot be treated.
Common Contractubex ide effects may include:
I also experienced bad side affects with Compazine.
NC NOT COVERED - Drugs that are not covered by the plan.
Management of manifestations of psychotic disorders, of excessive anxiety, tension, and agitation, and to control severe nausea and vomiting.
It helped with sleep in that it calmed my mind so that I could sleep -though sleep during chemo was always difficult in general.
So I don't trust compazine to work for HG. Phenegren made me crazy like the uncotrolable twitching you complained about. During HG 2 I received injections of compazine every eight hours for three weeks.
