Generic Name: Benicar hct
What is Benicar Hct?
This medication did not work for me. The second dose I took, I ended up taking with food. I didn't vomit, but I ended up feeling extremely nauseous, weak, tired, and caused me to urinate in the bed more than with the UTI. Woke up feeling very ill this morning. Because of this, I was prescribed macrobid instead.
I only started taking the macrobid this afternoon, and it has been making me feel much better from the UTI and Bactrim. Ultimately, different medications work for different bodies, and it did more harm than good for me. I was told to stop taking the bactrim thank goodness. Now two days after not taking it, I'm still feeling nauseous and slightly dizzy. Headaches have been lingering daily and I'm still trying to get back to a full nights sleep. I highly recommend asking your dr for a different medication.

I was prescribed Bactrim 6 months prior to my kidney transplant. I accepted the idiom "better safe than sorry". I had been taking it for more than a decade as a preventative.
I was recently put on Dapsone instead to see if the Bactrim had been the cause of recently elevated eosinophil levels. I was told that it was possible to suddenly develop an allergy to it after being on it for awhile.
